- Daisy T Limited (Kooky Garments) - as Receiver and Manager. Alan implemented a turn-around programme and now has business trading profitably - saving 65 jobs.
- Over the years Alan has assisted in turning around other businesses and set them on more financial sound footing.
- Formation and management of syndicate of investors in a medical centre.
- Assisting the capital raising and ongoing financial advice to directors of Wanganui Polyclinic.
- Executive Board Member (Treasurer) of Progressive Health (NZ) Inc, the practice association of Wanganui General Medical Practitioners for 10 years.
- Alan has time available to offer small business people his expertise and skills from his experience over the 34 years in practice. He believes he still has 10-15 years at least to be with his team imparting the knowledge of his experience to those who wish to take advantage of it.
HEALTH SECTOR EXPERIENCE
Alan’s time with Progressive Health involved
Designing and assisting PHI staff with the setting up of the monthly financial reporting systems required for monitoring the administrative operations and management of the disbursement of the various contract funding streams.
Preparing a convincing case to the Inland Revenue for PHI to be granted Charitable status.
PHI as one of the initial successful IPAs was regarded by Ministry of Health as the ideal model to have a visit to Wanganui by officials from the World Health Organisation in Manila “WHO” whilst on tour in NZ.
